Intersecting with Your Moment!

In the previous posts in this series, I introduced the biblical process of Activation.  Activation makes what God has appropriated active and operational in your life.  What’s true about the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life does not automatically become active and operational in you; these truths, graces, and gifts must be activated.

We learned that the four steps of activation are:  HEAR the Word, BELIEVE the Word, SPEAK/CONFESS the Word, and finally TAKE ACTION – fully activating the Word.  The first three steps are the preparation and foundation, and the fourth is the real act of activation.

In this post, let’s look at the fourth and final step: TAKING ACTION (THE ACTIVATION!)

If you really believe something in your heart and are confessing it with your mouth, then you must take actions that are in alignment with what you are saying that you believe.  Faith without corresponding action is dead (James 2:26).

You can determine how much faith you have by how much positive action you are taking in agreement with what is true about God’s Word.

You must take corresponding action if you are going to activate and manifest all of the graces of the Holy Spirit:  the fruit of the Spirit, the baptism in the Holy Spirit as well as the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  You can determine how much faith you have by how much positive action you are taking in agreement with what you have been praying for and believing to receive.  Faith is the key to receiving heavenly things.

Intersecting with Its Moment

As I shared previously, each word from the Lord has an assignment to complete.  In addition, each prophetic word or rhema word intersects with its moment.

Words that the Lord quicken and makes alive to you need to intersect with their moment to become completely activated and operational.  Prophetic words (infused and impregnated with a God assignment) must interact with its moment.

Let’s look at two examples.  There are many more in Scripture.

Mary, Mother of Jesus

Mary, the mother of Jesus, received her assignment from the Archangel Gabriel in Luke 1:26-38 to give birth to the Messiah.  The prophetic word that a virgin was prophesied about 700 years earlier by the prophet Isaiah:

  • in 7:1, “Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanual,” and
  • in 9:6, “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us. . .”

The prophesy by Isaiah had an assignment on it and was looking to intersect with its moment.  The moment of intersection occurred in Mary in Luke 1.  The Archangel Gabriel confirmed that the prophetic word of Isaiah was meeting its moment in Luke 1:31, “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall can Him Jesus.”

Mary believed the prophetic word from Gabriel as she said, “May it be done to me according to your [rhema] word”(Luke 1:38).  Elizabeth confirmed this in Luke 1:41-45, and she said, “blessed is she [Mary] who believed that there would be fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord” (v. 45).

Abraham and Isaac

In Genesis chapters 12 through 17, several prophetic words and dreams were given to Abraham.  Each prophetic word had an assignment on it that was looking to intersect with its moment.

  • One assignment was for a son of promise which was the covenant God cut with Abraham (Genesis 15 and 17).  Abraham was 75 years old and believed God for the promise which did not intersect with its moment until he was 100 years old.  Midway through this 25 years of waiting, Sarah and Abraham tried to held God out with a son, Ishmael, from Hagar.   However, God was clear the assignment on the prophetic word of Genesis 15 and 17 was not for Ishmael but only for Isaac.  This prophetic word intersected its moment, not in the birth of Ishmael (Genesis 16), but in the birth of Isaac (Genesis 18).
  • Another assignment was that the land of Canaan would be possessed by Abraham’s descendants, which occurred under Joshua 430 after the prophetic word was given.  Obviously, Abraham did not see the fulfillment of this prophetic word.
  • A third assignment on God’s prophetic words to Abraham was that through him all peoples of the earth would be blessed.  This was made possible through the redemptive work of Christ and is made available to all who receive Christ as Savior (Galatians 3).  The prophetic word is still being manifested through the ages and has begun, but not fully completed, intersecting with its moment until the end of the Church Age.

Right now, God is giving you words – rhema words, or prophetic words, or prophetic dreams, or visions – to believe so Holy Spirit and His angels can activate them.  So keep believing, speaking, and contending for each of those words to come to pass.

Prayer

Lord, I declare that you want me to fully activate each word that You personally give me.  I will be attentive to hear Your Word, believe it, speak it, and finally take action to manifest that word. Each word You give me has an assignment on it and I will stand in faith and patience to contend until that word intersects with it moment.  I understand that each word You give to me also give me an assignment to accomplish until that word intersects with its moment.  May I be faithful in each assignment You give me through Your spoken word to me.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
